The 14^th International Peat Congress, in Stockholm, Sweden 3-8 June 2012.

The International Peat Congress (IPC) takes place every forth year. The theme of the 14^th IPC is ”Peatlands in Balance” and its core will be presentations and documentation of the latest research results on peat and peatlands in the broadest sense from the boreal, temperate, and tropical regions of the world.

Change in the Programme: Lena Ek, the Minister for the Environment, recently (30/5) announced that she, unfortunately, is unable to attend the Congress  and give her Keynote speech. The State Secretary Anders Flanking will replace her.
