Description: SINGAPORE - Light winds and heavy rain are expected to keep the haze at bay on Wednesday, with the air quality to hover in the moderate range.

SINGAPORE - Light winds and heavy rain are expected to keep the haze at bay on Wednesday, with the air quality to hover in the moderate range.

The three-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI), a measure of air quality here, was 77 at 7am. The 24-hour PSI is in the range of 67 - 72.

The National Environment Agency said prevailing winds are forecast to be light and variable in direction. Thundery showers are expected for Singapore in the afternoon.

There may however be occasional slight haze during the day, NEA added.
